I still don't understand when Bruce was available why didn't they just hire him. Nothing against the new coach, but Bruce has a solid regular season track record and yes a so so playoff record.

That was an uninspired period of play.
Just no intensity, guys seem happy to let the puck go right by them.
At least we stopped skating the puck into the wall of guys at the blue line after the 14th attempt.
