Exactly it makes him look like a hypocrite. I don't blame him for taking advantage of the open market either, but it's what the impression of the public will be. That's what the debates are about, changing what people's impressions are.
There are many businesses that make a commitment to buy American or otherwise operate in a socially beneficial way at the expensive of getting the cheapest steel and they're not even running for president.
