I'm about done. Walked the riverbank and Princes Island Park alternating hands as it was cold for 45 minutes and all I got was a couple psyduck and a few other non notable mons. It's gotten ridiculous.

Yup since Fastpoke has stopped working I haven't opened the game. My son used to watch Fastpoke and we would run out of the house to catch pokemon. Not anymore. They really are trying to kill their own game I guess.

Agree with both last posts completely. I never used fast poke, but similar. I do open it when I'm out and about... and actually had a 1700 Venusaur waiting for me in Costco parking lot last night (poofed immediately after a razzberry and one excellently delivered ultra ball), but otherwise only go out to keep 10 guys in gyms.
And from what I see, no one plays anymore. If that was their objective, mission accomplished.

It seems like they are tanking the game on purpose. Removing the passengers ability to see pokemon is a piss off. Takes away any reason for me to play on the train and even downtown. Because of the GPS issues I could be standing by a building not moving and will get the "click here if your a passenger" screen.

Finally caught a Lapras, was driving up McLeod, stopped at a light, and it just showed up. Pulled over quick to catch it.
The drowzee I caught just after that has a higher CP though.

Yup, barely play anymore. Anytime I load it up it feels like there are no pokemon in sight, and my battery drops 3x as fast

Definitely must be less people playing. My Snorlax has been in a gym for over a week now, and my best Vaporeon has been in a gym for about three days now, and it was the first Pokemon to fight in the gym.

Niantic has made the game basically impossible to play in the winter.
I was super into it but when it wrecks your battery, when no one else is luring, and when there is no way to find any pokemon, let alone rare ones, what the hell are we supposed to do?

Glad I'm not the only one with the sentiment. Random wandering hoping to run into something gets old real quick in the cold.
Was fun while it lasted... and pokemon go completely addressed 4lbs of muffin top that over $5k of gym memberships, trainers, muay thai lessons couldn't get rid of. For this, I'll still rate this experience 5/5 stars.

Haven't played since I got back from California last week, game has definitely run its course for me. I'll echo cracher, the game was great for getting rid of my belly jelly and was fun for the summer. Would like to fill out the last 5 entries I need in the pokedex, but I won't lose any sleep over it. The battery life, app slowness, and winter really pushed it over the cliff into oblivion.

Finally hit 100 in the Pokedex
A planned lucky Egg evolve spree for tomorrow should get me at the very least very close to level 24.
1931 Snorlax
1876 Vaporeon
1731 Vaporeon
1530 Magmar
1502 Flareon
Best of species above 1000CP:
1358 Hypno
1339 Aerodactyl
1318 Golduck
1295 Vileplume (Evolved this guy to bring my pokedex to 100)
1283 Wigglytuff
1260 pidgeot
1245 Clefable
1230 Victreebel
1215 Rapidash
1192 Tentacruel
1177 Jolteon
1156 Cloyster
1154 Seaking
1129 Venomoth
1088 Golbat
1069 Parasect
1021 Kingler
1021 Jynx
1012 Starmie
1006 Tauros
997 Fearow - just missed 1000!

Additions that I should soon be able to evolve:
Dewgong, Arcanine
After those two, anything else is many kms of walking to get enough candies to evolve.

I'm holding out hope that fastpokemap comes back, otherwise I think I'm done too. I live in a somewhat rural area and it was difficult finding pokemon even with the aid of 3rd parties. With the tracking killed for passengers and no 3rd party trackers it's down to 1000's of kms of walking to hatch eggs and have buddies find candies. I'm just not willing to do it

I'm at 120 in my Pokedex so 22 left to get. There's 4 that I need to find or hatch (Hitmonchan, Chansey, Doduo and Tangela), 17 that I can evolve by walking 2099km with the appropriate buddies and 1 (Dodrio) that I can evolve only after I find/hatch a Doduo. That's a lot of walking if I can't reliably find them in the wild!

It doesn't sound good for fastpokemap. The guy has been melting down on Twitter a lot in the past couple of weeks. Credit the guy for keeping it up as long as he did, Granted he says he is still working on it, I think he is finished.

I agree, I think he is finished. Too bad. I was talking to my wife about this and clearly Niantic could make a killing if they built their own "fastpoke" or "pokevision" There is a need why not capitalize on it. Maybe that is there plan. Get folks hooked on the trackers, kill the trackers and bam $5 tracking app by Niantic.

Pokemon GO is the fastest mobile game to hit $600 million in revenues. Only took 90 days. Holy crap.
Quote:
Pokémon Go was the fastest mobile game to hit $600 million in revenues, according to market researcher App Annie.
Even if its growth is slowing down, the game where you collect cute Pokémon creatures is the most successful mobile game in history. In its third-quarter market index, App Annie found that Niantic Labs generated more than $600 million in revenue from July through the end of September. And that set the record in terms of the time it took for a mobile game to reach that amount.
Pokémon Go hit the threshold in 90 days. By comparison, it took Candy Crush Saga more than 200 days to hit $600 million. Puzzle & Dragons took more than 400 days, and Clash of Clans took more than 500 days.
