Who didn't see that coming? Jose with a weak out and JD stepping up and drilling a ball.

Jays can complain but that has been a strike all day. jays need to stop letting Umps decide the game and get on that outside pitch. Merritt has been throwing it out there ALL game.
lack of adjustment and a lack of prepartion is killing the Jays offence, which is a surprise to no one.

Edwin trying to take an outside pitch for a homer instead of driving it the other way. With two strikes no less. He saw the exact same fastball the last two pitches and somehow still rolled over on it.

Thats probably game.
Next time our big bats up are up it will probably be the 7th and Miller will be in the game by that point.

On the bright side, they've had more than enough looks at the Cleveland bullpen. If they were ever going to hit them, it's the 5th chance to get an extended look at their pen.
Tough assignment against this kid who is spotting his stuff masterfully today.

Yeah the Jays could be doing more with the pitches Merritt is giving them, but I think we all expected Merritt to be a little rougher than he's been today. He's been absolutely rock solid for them, exactly what they needed from him.

It's not even that....the Jays hitters refuse to change their approach at the plate which will be their downfall. If he is constantly picking the outside corner, crowd the plate...if he comes inside, wear the pitch and take your base.
I have been extremely disappointed with the whole offensive strategy by the jays this series.

I know the jays don't like it out there but thats where you need to adjust. a mid 80s fastball on the outside edge is a hittable pitch for most of this lineup.
Just a lack of adjustments.
