A great hardworking player. I wonder if he gives coaching a shot.

Not bad for a 7th round pick.

I was not a fan when he broke onto the team but I readily admit he earned my respect. I was never certain he could actually raise the puck when shooting though p, as all his goals seemed to be ugly.

His best time as a Flame was on the Glencross - Moss - Jokinen line. That line clicked and all 3 could fly up the ice.

I believe he married a former Survivor contestant if I am not mistaken.

Fond memories of Moss. Wish him the best.

Good luck Moss. An honest and hard working player.

Classy statement as well.

I'll always remember him for when he first got called up and it was Moss-Langkow-Huselius on that potent 2nd line. Back in those days, the Flames were the most physical team in the league and it was always Moss who came flying out of the gates like gangbusters to set the tone.

500 games in the NHL is quite the achievement. Best of luck to him.

He carved out a nice career for a lunch bucket player that wasn't blesses with elite skills in any particular area. 500 games makes for an impressive NHL career.

Hopefully he can live comfortable without any nagging pains. He got beat up pretty badly in his NHL career. Pretty humble statement from him. If it were me, I'd definitely brag about the time I scored 20 goals.

Those 3 were amazing when not being forced into the first line because of lack of depth

Always did like Moss (albeit not as top line center that one year). If Survivor does a Blood Vs. Water season I have a feeling we'll see him on TV again.

Crazy how he was called up due to injury in 2006-07 and never sent back down after 9 years. 500 NHL games is pretty damn good for a 7th round pick who was a frequent whipping boy on this board.

Congrats on living the dream, David! Although it is depressing to see players from my draft year retire now, makes me feel old.

He did something that 99.9 percent of us will never get to do. He got to live the dream and make good money doing it, and he exited with class and dignity.

Good for him.

Enjoy retirement

Anyone else remember when he gave out a shout out to CP during the "Vote Wannamaker era"
