Thought Ferland was an absolute beast. Really liked Frolik, Brouwer, and Brodie tonight too. Thought Chiasson has been good so far too. Not sure why Ottawa fans loathed him so much.
Didn't like Giordano or Monahan's game tonight outside of overtime. Gaudreau wasn't spectacular either but he made a few plays that were nice. I think that line is starting to come around, slowly but surely.
Why on earth was Jokipakka ever scratched for Grossmann? I honestly can't see a scenario where he or Wideman get back into the lineup anytime soon. Kulak and Jokipakka are faster and younger.
Johnson looked pretty solid tonight. Made two or three awesome saves in a row on O'Reilly in OT plus stopped a breakaway late in the game.
Tkachuk in the third was on fire! I love the way he can play when he's on. It's about time the Flames had a pest on their team. He's going to be one of the most hated guys in the league, and I love it!
Overall I thought the team played well. Not great, but well. Buffalo was putrid. O'Reilly was amazing but other than that there wasn't much to be happy about tonight.
Also, I think it's hilarious the Oilers drafted Nurse over Ristolainen.

I missed the game tonight (was at the jays game). Based on the highlights Tkachuk looked dominant, goal and some bit hits. Can anybody break down his game tonight for me?
Was invisible in the first, benched in the second, and responded exactly how you would want him to in the third. Was arguably our best player in the third. Goal and two really big hits on Moulson and Ennis. Drew a penalty too. First two periods though, not so great.
Just finished watching the game but didn't see the pickle glitch, but that was pretty funny.
We needed that win. Some good parts - Ferland, Brodie, Johnson, Backlund, Frolik. Johnny and Monahan still don't look quite right, but I'm glad they connected on the OT goal.
ha I almost smashed my phone earlier because I thought the GIF didn't load properly for some reason. Then I obviously I didn't get the constant pickles reference ... until someone posted the video and people thought I was a weirdo on the bus because I had to laugh. Made my day.

As I am explaining the new pickle meme on CP to my wife this morning, we're watching the morning news and the trailer for this movie called The Pickle Recipe comes on. Clearly this is a sign.
I feel like the only responsible thing for the CP community to do is to go see this movie in a jihad fashion. I guarantee this will bring us good luck for the rest of the year.

We lost 4-2 to New Jersey on a Tuesday night, 9 months ago today, and a 2-1 SO loss to the Oilers a few nights before that. Hiller was in net both nights.
Definitely wasn't the Flames, but still, congrats guys.
edit: and Sam Bennett's 4 goal night was the game before those two hahahahahaha
