Overall a down year for him - and the club should be assessing if he truly is the centre fielder of the long-term.

He was 3rd in the league in runs saved.... You're wrong!

I agree. Lots of people think big changes are coming and im just saying he better not be one of them.

Bautista's problem isn't his eye, it's his occasion patience. There are really two Joeys - make it happen by swinging for the fences Joey (impatient) and take a walk Joey (patient). Which one shows up on any given at bat, who knows. When he's patient and is open to the walk, he lays off some very very tough pitches. When he feels like a hero, he swings wildly at anything. In his later years after this season, the patient Joey will work wonders for any team who picks him up. I'm not sure if he's wants that version to come out bat after bat (walks don't necessarily pay the bills).

Runs saved doesn't take into account all the ones he messed up does it? Not sure how that stat works.

Kluber just gave Bautista one with that hanging slider and he missed it. Golden opportunity missed.

This inning should be it for Sanchez I think. Seems to be missing his spots.

I think Shapiro and Atkins would be crucified if that's the route they were to take.

Donaldson loves Toronto and Toronto loves him.

Nice quick inning.

Sanchez seems tired though.

What remains to be seen is will Donaldson still love Toronto if they don't bring back Edwin or Bautista, and don't bring in adequate replacements. It's pretty much been sunshine and lollipops the entire time he's been with us.

The calls have gone both ways but man is the strike zone terrible and inconsistent today. Must be tough as a batter to actually have no idea what a strike is.

Saunders one of the only few Jays to shorten his swing and try to make solid contact. He's outplaying Bautista by a mile.

That was pretty much a carbon copy of the ball that Bautista dropped. That sometimes is the difference in a game.

Jays havn't done all they can do at the plate, but there is definetly an element of things not going their way. Tulo, Edwin and Bautisa have all barely missed homers, Crisp catch last night and now a nice play to rob Carerra.

Makes it that much tougher when you don't get any breaks.

Blue Jays must really hate taking advantage of opportunities.

The Bluejays had to be ridiculously unlucky not to get runs that inning.

Absolutely ridiculous

Sometimes it feels like it's just not in the cards
