Default Colbourne hattrick and tough start to season for Treliving

Rough start of season for Treliving. Can only improve from here.

Flames drop first 3 with new coach/system.

Gaudreau rusty with late signing.

Elliott his big starting goalie signing has a brutal SV in his 2 starts.

Colborne gets a hat trick with two on PP on Avs.

Indigestion for Flames fans all around!

Well some of his recent UFA signings look good (Frolik, Brower, Johnson).

In hindsight, Colborne was a cap casualty. He's the cost of being unable to move some of the bad contracts.

I don't think that was the case at all. I believe the insider info was that they were scared to pay him what he could get due to not believing he'd be able to provide that value to the team and decided to walk away.

Basically the plan was to get a guy like Brouwer in at a higher price to replace Colborne's production/body on the roster rather than pay Colbrone less but more than he's personally worth.

Give me Brouwer over Colborne any day. Colborne will disappear for a twenty game stretch here soon...book it.

Colborne is definitely going to score 246 goals this season, and Gaudreau will score none.

Happy for Colborne. Hope he does well. He rarely played well in games that mattered for us.

We just need to sign a few more 30+ year old 30 point guys and Treliving will look like a genius!

Missing Colbourne on the Shootout. Last night was evidence of that

I'm personally gonna wait till after Thursday to get super worried. Buffalo on Tuesday and Carolina on Thursday. We drop both those and I will start to panic, we play good and pick up some points there then we can hopefully step away from the edge. The team will get a couple days to rest and practice here after a busy 3 games in 3 cities in 4 nights to start the season with a new coach.

That doesn't mean I'm not super disappointed with the start were having though. It sucks

I was always of the opinion that they should have kept Colborne but we will have to wait quite a bit longer to see if it was a major mistake as lots of players have looked amazing in their first month of the season only to fall off the edge of the earth.

Hey, it's cool. The sky IS falling.

Continue to sell your season tickets at STH price or lower, thanks. I'll go watch this terrible hockey...

Good luck to Colborne.
A lot of us were upset he was let go.
I hope he has another career year

Some of you need to take a step away from the keyboards and go shout at the clouds before starting these ridiculous threads.

It takes 20 games to figure out who we are. Save the Jonestown punch for November.
