So far, I am not completely impressed with what GG has done but I do respect his line up changes since game 1. I think we are going to see our top 6 D finally play together tonight. This is going to be a fun game. I hope Johnson can have a solid effort tonight, who knows maybe he can pick up the win and possibly get on a roll, have some confidence.
I wouldn't mind seeing some hits from Ferland, maybe he can get up for this game? I haven't been impressed so far. Last night I thought there were chances for him to make a solid hit but he choose to stop or flyby instead. I really hope he doesn't do that tonight. If he doesn't start playing better, get someone else to fill that roll.

Was just wondering what the video entailed? Didn't know he was autistic until Locke sent the link. His videos are harmless fun, and power to him for having a passion he feels secure enough to share with the world.
I know Scorp. I didnt mean to say you have something against him. But as someone who is the uncle of a child with autism I think some of the comments have just been a bit insensitive at best. Ignorant at worst. Theres a million things on the internet to laugh at or poke fun at. An autistic weatherman is probably the last thing on my list. Whatever.
As a Flames fan currently living in Vancouver through this weather, the above post is way over-exaggerated.
Yes, some trees have fallen on people's homes, and there are power outages here and there. It is very tragic that someone lost their life.
But there is no need to "worry for the safety of the general public". This is a more intense storm than normal, but people are still going about their business. We are nowhere near a crisis situation; and I would encourage concerned CPers to devote their thoughts to more serious situations in the world.
Nailed it. It is really not that bad at all here in Victoria either. The media has really over hyped it.

I can't speak for some of the comments on this board, however I can say that the majority of people who follow Frankie are genuine supporters. I don't watch his videos to laugh at him.
He really gets a kick out of all the support. I especially like his dancing videos..."let's do some dancin! check out my moves".
He's unintentionally hilarious, too. Since he has been on TV and got a bit famous he's become quite pleased with himself. One of the funnier comments he has made was along the lines of..."now I am a famous weatherman girls love me. they see me in the street and they always want to take a picture because i am a weatherman".
Always makes me smile. It's awesome that he has had success doing something he loves...and he LOVES the weather!

Yeah. Makes me with Hathaway was there the last few games

Well if my comment about not knowing if his presentation was an act is one of those comments that twigged you wrong I apologize. I've just seen a few guys who put on an act like that. Notably Ronald Jenkees (check his youtube out for serious. One of the most talented musicians on a keyboard ever. I mean that) so I never know when to take something at face value anymore. I am very jaded.
The media are reporting Environment Canada's weather warnings. And those warnings can save lives. If you don't like them, write your MP.
Anyways... Back to the GDT.
Gullys system is still a bit tough for me to figure out. I'll echo the sentiments about the lineup changes after those 2 pitiful losses to the grease. Wideman is just too slow with bad positioning to be an effective player for the Flames.
For those echoing the common sentiment that they don't understand GG system yet, I think it is safe to say that's because we haven't really seen it yet which is the problem. There were times during the first when the team was skating like a 5 man unit and there were many small quick passes being completed. I think it's as simple as skating, quick passes, quick up the ice, short high percentage plays all the way up the ice. Strange that this team were taught the opposite of this for 3 years, but they were, and that's a hard mental transition. Hartley wanted counter punch offence with a strong dose of D to D to D to D to D, looking for low percentage plays. I think the hardest to adjust will be gio and Brodie to be honest. Anyhow, I think it will take until December to have that system. Hope they're not out by then.
