MNF: Worst Collapse ever?
Tonight the Arizona Cardinals lost to the Chicago Bears after being up 23-3 going into the 4th. The announcers were saying it was the most bizzare game they've ever experienced in 31 years...Anyone else watch?

WOW do I feel sorry for Leinart, he looked so good out there tonight and his team just fell apart in that second half, but definetley have give props to Urlacher he sure made his precense felt espeically in the 4th quarter and that strip from James was a huge change in the game

Rackers should be cut. Too bad the Stamps locked up Sandro..
So should James.
Our OC Rowen should be fired at the bye. Who the **** gives James the ball 36 times when he's averaging 1.5 yd/carry?
Leinart is a stud - he'll be a pro bowler next season for sure.

Way to go Edge, smart moving going to Arizona for a little more cash. Looks like your having a great time.
There's been some great monday night comebacks. Jets/Dolphins Colts/Bucs. However this one is so different because it wasen't a comeback as much as it was a HUGE choke. Green has to go in Zona

**** Edge.
Everyone can say that Edge sucks because of our O-Line, but they didn't just fumble away a win.
This Card fan would rather have Hutchinson.

Game was lost when they forced 2 CHI turnovers in the first half within the 40 3 times, on gifts.
They turned those into 6 points, when it should've been at least 14.

Yeah it's tough to put up points when your OC calls James 1st and 10, and then 2nd and 10 everytime we get in the red zone. If Green and Rowen let Leinart play it's over at the half.

And the worst collapse is still the Indy/TB game from Octobr 2003. 35-14 with 3:40 to play, and Indy ends up winning in OT.
I remember having a conference in MTL and staying up until around 1am to watch the final part of the game.

ya its true, the bears didn't deserve to win anymore more than the cards. Gonna be a long week for both those teams.

I'd say the Bucs/Indy and Jets/Dolphins games were bigger collapses, just cause you are waiting for AZ to figure out how to lose that game.
I don't get the point Denny was trying to make after the game about 'knowing Chicago' ... it just sounded like a bunch of blind rage.

That was the ultimate example of a good team being able to win a game they had no bussiness winning, and a bad team losing a game they shouldn't have lost. Ultimatly that conservative play calling would have been fine if the Cards hold onto the ball, and kick the ball out of bounds. The Cards were given so many gifts in that game and did nothing with them. When the Bears got a sniff of something they took it into the end zone.
I wouldn't call that game the biggest comeback ever, but it might be the most bizarre choke job ever.

The refs missed an obvious holding penalty on the first Bears TD. After the fumble one of the bears was holding the Cardinal O-Lineman from behind, and pulling on his jersey. I was amazed none of the commentators noticed this.

I felt bad for Arizona as a team but I'm pretty happen Chicago one just to shut Tony's piehole. That whole exchange when Barkley was on and Charles said "this could be the turning point right here" when AZ didn't score a TD on one of the 2nd quarter turnovers and Tony jumped all over him and basically told him and Joe they were full of it. I have no love for Tony so seeing him get proven wrong by a basketball player/analyst made me smile. I believe Barkley also said something like "27 points will win the game for the Cards." Oh, and did Tony not say something like "If the Bears come back and win you can have my seat for the rest of the season." I wish they'd hold him to it.

Between Thiesman and Kornheiser I don't know who the bigger idiot is. ESPN probably would be wise to let Barley take both their spots and sit beside Tirico for the Monday Night Broadcasts.

It's just the way they lost.
The Bears give up 6 turnovers.
The Cardinals have 2, and on the the actual play both become TDs by the defense.
I'm far from a Cardinals fan, but I was rooting for them last night. All I could say was WOW.

Cardinal sins
Arizona reaches all-time low with historic choke job
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...bte/index.html
As horrible a franchise as Arizona is, it has reached a new low. An all-time low. The Cardinals' Monday-night performance was one of the biggest choke jobs in sports history. If you didn't see it, you won't believe it. I don't see how Dennis Green can recover from this and keep his job. I don't see how Edgerrin James can recover from this, this season, and be anything but a massively disappointing millionaire. And I don't see how Neil Rackers can show his face in Arizona without getting pelted by tomatoes.

Correction: the Bears offense didn't deserve the victory but the defense was stifling as usual... They deserved the victory because they found a way to score more points
