Excellent period by the Flames. Looks like they adjusted after the McDavid breakaway and they didn't give the Oilers much in the 2nd half of the period. They're skating hard, strong on the forecheck, and putting lots of pucks on net. Hopefully they can carry that momentum into the 2nd.

The Oilers are garbage.
McDavid, and then a whole lot of crap.
When Bennett and Tkachuk fully find their NHL games they are going to give teams fits down low. Brouwer is perfect for them.
Also, nice to see Elliot bounce back with some key saves.

Wideman is the weak link right now. If we could somehow get Kulak in there instead, we'd be good. These forward lines are fantastic top to bottom.

Same here...huge huge perk. Switched to Rogers from Telus not even realizing I'd get CI for free

I'm not playing what if, the flames defensive game hasn't been good this game. Luckily the Oilers defensive game has been worse.
This isn't something new, they've been giving up high quality scoring chances for years now and it needs to stop.
Wideman was pinching with McDavid on the ice. You can't fix stupid.
