This obcession with the Oilers of the 80's is getting a tad old and tiresome. It shows just how bad the Oilers are when you have to keep revisiting the glory days. Enough is enough!

This game is still salvageable. Definitely don't think the Oilers are dominating by any means.

What pairing made the brutal line change for the third goal?

Ugh you knew it was going to be a bad night when Matthews scored 4 goals.

Flames shouldn't bother to play anymore opening games, just mail the 2 points to the other team. They always look like crap in Game 1.

Despite sitting in the penalty box, Engelland still played more minutes in the first than Grossman.

Good.

That's the only thing that makes sense to me, because Jyrki's a helluva lot better than Grossmann.

Defensive errors by Grossman are in large part a reason why we're behind in the game. We need Kevin!

Let's try and keep perspective here. They just opened a new building, their alumni is there, it is a huge night for them. We have new players, some have never played with each other, new coaching staff, new system. Combine all that and it is crappy to see but not the end of the world. Hope we can push back but it is a long season and the wrinkles will get worked out. that and hopefully Grossman gets fired into the sun.

lol, well hopefully the boys have more behind the curtain than that despicable 1st period.

Terrible goaltending, massive defensive miscues and stupid mental mistakes.

It was like the start of last season all over again, and that nightmare never came to an end.

Hopefully this one does, and right away godammit.

How can NFL half time be so good while NHL intermissions are painful.

Lots of fans just read. I do that most of the time. I don't even log on typically.
