Holy Jeebus, just get on with the game already. It's not the opening ceremony for the Olympics.
They have 82 games this year and for the next 30 or so years to take in the new building. I get having a grand opening for the NHL season but keep it short and sweet! Or maybe start it an hour before game time instead of making everyone outside of Edmonton who couldn't care less wait?!

Re: Wayne... the strange thing is that all these guys were the most competitive dudes ever when they were players. Now it seems like they are all loafing around the clubhouse so they can be there in case the boss wants to go out for lunch.
