Maybe, I did suggest that. The timing is highly suspect though, the emails have been leaked since Friday, but Trump didn't use it at the debate, it wasn't until the same day Sputnik released the claim.

And Trump's own words were "This just came out a little while ago", which to me sounds more like he's talking about what came out earlier that day rather than last week.

You're right, it could be a coincidence though.

A slight OT thought.

We probably agree that the trump brand is tarnished. For Donald himself, its probably not a big deal, he's not going to live long enough to bear the full brunt. His sons and Ivanka would probably feel the impairment more.

But what if Ivanka disavowed her dad, pledged to donate 25% of proceeds from her clothing line to Women's causes charities, BUT at the same time increased the price of her clothing line so that she would still have a profit beyond what she would have got prior?

Like, is this a possibility?

I doubt she does this unless she leaves Trump's corporate structure and spins out on her own.

That could be a possibility though as she is becoming her own brand and might not want to be damaged by her Dad's disastrous campaign.

Reminder: Ivanka's Twitter did thank a story where her dad said it was cool to call her "a piece of ass". She's not going anywhere. If anything I think she's on her own con to try and cut the other Trump kids out of the will and get all of it for herself. It's why she accepts all the creepy #### he does to her, be a little uncomfortable now to get it all later.

What the hell is his brand anyway? It's not like he sells an actual product. Whatever his brand is, is probably fine with the support of his 20-30% of Americans.

Watching all these Trump supporters and 'journalists' try to dig through the leaked emails and fall all over themselves to try and post dirt is cringe worthy.

They found an email where Podesta says "I know she has begun to hate everyday Americans...", so people go nuts about how Clinton is a liar. Read the rest of the sentence and it's clear they're workshopping a speech and it's the phrase she hates.

Just like the one about a public and private position, these emails are discussions that have a context and meaning that can often be difficult to glean from the emails themselves.

It'll never happen, but I'd love to read an Ivanka Trump tell-all book.

Trump also posted about a hacked email with the DOJ about scheduling saying it was "Unbelievable". SCHEDULING!

The 'journalist' who broke that Unbelievable email posted the email like he was breaking a story, then an hour later said it could be fine if the recipient was the designated DOJ contact about scheduling. But of course Trump won't repeat that part.

EDIT: That was an NBC journalist Tom Winter, and a CNN journalist Brianna Keilar just treated it as nefarious as well.

So when does Clinton tweet about the MSM being in Trump's pocket for making up stuff about her?

EDIT2: Stone's super PAC paid $2500 to one of the women who were part of Trump's ambush, and differing stories on who paid their travel costs.

Ben Carson on CNN saying guys talk about sexual assault all the time, and that he's surprised the female host hasn't heard this kind of banter all her life. It's common stuff and let's just get over .

Also, they need Trump to stop "the train from going off the cliff", and that America should get back to Judeo-Christian values and Trump is the man to get them there.

It's depressing that this moron is far more successful than I am. I mean this guy is a millionaire. He ran for President!

He's either a ####ing fool or a con man with a remarkable ability to lie.

Well in their defence a fair number of the emails are showing continued co-ordination between Clinton Campaign and a number of different entities, which, in certain cases is prohibited by law (Federal Elections Campaign Act, Citizens United)

-Working with DNC and/or DNC Chair vs. Bernie
-Working with Super-PACs
-Working directly with media on how to frame stories
-Liasing with DoJ
-etc

Again, its normal for people in the various camps to be in contact with people, but law prohibits a lot of it if you are directly with the campaign.

As a reasonable adult, it continually blows my mind that a candidate can say literally nothing presidential, cannot articulate a plan to save his life, and say wrong/sexist/illegal things yet still have such a strong support base. Trump is being heralded as the religious champion yet the man is about as much of a heathen as one can get. I've attempted time and time again to apply logic to this whole situation but the only explanation I can come up with is that America is broken, at least at a political level.

Trump could be bringing sub 30% into play as his surrogates continue to meltdown just as much as he is. If this keeps up he's going to bring a 45-50 state loss into play, because people even in staunchly red states are probably not going to want to be known as "Trump states" in the future.

Not surprising that Evangelicals support Trump. Evangelism started because of a church that didn't want to allow blacks to become members.

Nice try, but you don't seem to be using the right word. Evangelicals in Politics is all practicing Christians

From Wikipedia: Evangelism is the preaching of the gospel or the practice of giving information about a particular doctrine or set of beliefs to others with the intention of converting others to the Christian faith.

This term is not restricted to any particular Christian tradition, and should not be confused with Evangelicalism, a common term for a wide range of "Evangelical" Protestant churches and groups.
