Lots? Does it matter?

Gulutzen has seen him throughout training camp and the preseason, seeing how he acts on the ice and in the locker room. Isn't and probably shouldn't make a decision based on who was here last year, even when he wasn't.

BT is sooooo much more intellectually honest than Jay Feaster. Likely smarter, too. Actually seems like a good guy.

I got mine earlier this year when it was 40% off at the Fanattic. I'm so happy that I can wear it for at least 6 years!

Of course Francis asks:

"Is this team in the playoffs this year?"

Idiot. What GM (Aside from Chirelli) would say no.

Yah, because what Johnny thinks today, about what he'll want to do in 6 years from now matters at all.

Johnny might think he know's what he will want in 6 years (for the record I don't think he's even given it an ounce of serious thought outside of spit balling with family and friends), but he actually doesn't. Why? Because so much can change in six years. For all he knows, the Flames will treat him like garbage for the next 6 years and he'll be running for the door. For all he knows, the coaching and management staff will have done a complete turn over and he will have no idea how he feels about the new management until they actually exist. Maybe he meets a nice Calgary girl and they have kids and he won't want to uproot his family?

This messed up obsession with what is a 23 year old going to want over half a decade from now. Give it up. He didn't ask for a trade now, that's all that matters and he's locked in pretty long term. Sorry, we don't get know everything, and we certainly aren't able to predict the future so stop trying, it's completely messed up.

I'd much rather have Johnny meeting with the coaches, finding out what system they want him working in, who his linemates are and generally getting ready for the season.

He can do pressers later.

This.

We can also circle back to none of us knows what goes behind the doors in the flames locker room. The team management and most likely Gio had a say in who gets the A.

I guess some people didn't see that Gaudreau wouldn't be there until after practice?

Tkachuk makes the team, day by day basis. Funny little side ending to the presser.

With the Smid LTIR talk I firmly believe the Flames are exploring moving his cap hit.
