Well they haven't told Kulak he has made the team yet FWIW:

Darren Haynes @DarrenWHaynes
Spoke with Kulak. Admits he'll be disappointed if he isn't here Wednesday because he feels he's had a great camp and is ready for the NHL.

Sounds like Bollig & Vey waivings were about flexibility when Gaudreau gets done.

I saw nothing in pre-season that made me think Higgins is an NHL player anymore. I think he is done.

Based on your interpretations, or something you've heard?

Higgins was brought in with the idea he could shore up the PK.

Obviously he didn't impress.

I still think that management is looking for help. Let's face it, the team needs to improve in this area if they're going to make any noise.

I was so irritated the Flames even gave Higgins a PTO even though i realized it was likely not going to lead to a contract. I am Just relieved Higgins was released.
Johnny signed Higgins released, Stamps clinch the West in dominating fashion. What a great day for Calgary sports.

He only played about 12 or 15 games before getting hurt. The team wanted to re-sign him but it was mentioned from the outset that he wanted to "test the market" and be back in the Eastern conference. He ended up signing a 1 year deal in Florida for a relatively low amount of money rather than stay here.

All sorts of rumours at the time that he had zero interest in being here and literally could not have got himself out of town fast enough. He came across as arrogant and that playing in Calgary was beneath him.

Why would it irritate you? Competition in camp is good.
There is literally no downside to PTOs.

That fans make the jump from one thing to another. Like how a PTO means spots are being taken away from kids even if a contract hasn't even been signed.

So Gaudreau back means Vey or Bollig are bumped?

Grossmann on a two way I could live with.

Not sure he has shown to be worth a two way contract.
