Perfect contract. The AAV is all that mattered to me. 6.75 is absolutely perfect. As for the years, I have my assumptions but we'll save that for another day. This is good. Very very good.

Now, save the 900k from sending Bollig to the farm and claim Pulkkinen and we have a glorious Tuesday.

I'm a little surprised. How did Treliving manage to swing this? Dude's got balls of steel to risk souring the waters but damn he really really did the Flames a huge favor on this one. With Brodie, Gio, Hamilton, Gaudreau and Monahan all locked down we are getting awsome value for the cap hit on the core guys now. We could be paying 10 million more per year for that core.

Super impressed with Treliving as a GM, did his thing and didn't flinch.

No word on a NMC/NTC. If there is any it will only be in effect for the last year of the deal. Considering Monahan got one. I am sure Gaudreau got one too.

I don't know if it's a poor decision. It's still adding extra cash to the contract. In the end it's the total dollar amount that's important.

The fact there are people complaining and predicting doom and gloom just prove some people will complain about anything.

Comixzone, ggg and par I'm specifically talking about you three. It took less than 30 minutes for people to jump on the negative bandwagon. I'm in awe.

Today is a great day for Calgary and therefore the world. Now is gonna go eat turkey until I have to undo my pants and am borderline comatose.
