It is difficult for us to suspend or ban someone just because they hold a different opinion. He generally isn't breaking any rules.
People can choose not to reply to him, or even put him on ignore.
We are all adults here. Surely people can tolerate someone who doesn't align to their opinion.
When we start banning people just because of their different viewpoints (on hockey matters) - then this place gets weird quickly.

But I agree with you. Banning because of differing opinions doesn't work.

I totally get that. And for that reason I felt tolerant initially (like the first month). But at what point is he spamming? We get his point of view and we've debated every angle of it ad nauseum.

And yet he continues to jack multiple threads. Yes, we are adults and I could just ignore him and every post that quotes him, but a) it's very hard to ignore when he literally takes over threads for pages and b) don't we want to maintain the quality of this community? Should we just say "suck it up and ignore it" to everything that degrades the forum?

I won't go on about this but I agree with Flash and EE (who I rarely agree with), it's seriously starting to affect my perspective of this board. Just as a bit of feedback for the mods I suppose.

I agree it is a unique situation. We rarely see someone come on the board and be so focused on a single topic with a very strong viewpoint.

I view the situation as quite temporary with the assumption that he largely won't be active once the player is signed.

Whether it holds any weight or not (I personally think it does), actions like this tell you a lot about a person. 'Indirect' tweets such as this are what you expect from a 14-16 year-old going through school when their friends didn't invite them to a party; not a 23-year old professional hockey player.

However, it could obviously be nothing. But if it is nothing, then why is there a tweet?

Possible... the flip side of that is he continues to post and doubles down on the Gaudreau love. Only going to get more annoying as he continues to pump up his own player and puts his teammates down.
