You are far underestimating the sticking power of someone admitting he sexually assaults women as a pick up line that fits with ongoing and previous law suits against trump.
I do agree that Hillary's comments on trade will make the one area where Trump is strong, (working class whites) more likely to vote trump. So in your Michigan, Ohio, Pendylvania region this could be hurtful. However the constituency trump needed to stop voting, (young people) and to vote for him (suburban women) absolutely will react to this. So on the whole he lost hugely today.
And at the town hall answering a women's question about this he needs an answer better than yeah but look at what Bill did.

Trump is an aggressive misogynist who thinks he can do anything. We knew that already. This is what that means in practice. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
|
Some former campaign staffers were mentioning this last night they thought two reasons.
One was because it was a recording. Maybe it shouldn't be but their own voice is far more damaging than the same thing in written words.
Combine that with it's confirming an existing perception. If it'd been 'out of character' it'd be bad but less so.

I wonder what Roger Ailes is telling Trump right now?
I'm waiting for Giuliani to say something soon.

Something along the lines of:
Donald, you're missing out on half the fun. You can't just grab their #####, you gotta go full shocker! Come on Don, say it with me. Two in the pink, one in the stink! That's how them FoxNews bitches liked it!"
Or something close to that.

This is all sad. Imagine if that video was like some kind of horrible tic-tac commercial.

So I've been going through all the reporting on the new wikileaks stuff. I've been unable to find anything that would make me less inclined to vote for Hillary Clinton, were I able to do so. Actually, some of it would make me more enthusiastic about voting for her. There is some level-headed, practical analysis in some of those speeches. Where's all the bad stuff?

“People are calling and saying, ‘Don’t even think about doing anything else but running,” Trump said when asked about GOP defections. “You have to see what’s going on. The real story is that people have no idea the support. I don’t know how that’s going to boil down but people have no idea the support.
“Running against her,” Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, makes keeping the party behind him easier, Trump added.
“It’s because she’s so bad. She’s so flawed as a candidate. Running against her, I can’t say it’d be the same if I ran against someone else, but running against her makes it a lot easier, that’s for sure.”

“I’ve been here before, I’ll tell ya, in life,” Trump said. “I understand life and how you make it through. You go through things. I’ve been through many. It’s called life. And it’s always interesting.”
Trump said “thousands and thousands” of backers have sent him letters and emails since the Post’s story was published. “You have no idea what it’s like,” he said. “So many people.”
Trump pointed to his disparagement of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) during the early months of last year’s Republican primary campaign as an example of how he has weathered political storms.
“Everyone said, ‘It’s over, it’s over.’ The people didn’t say that but the reporters said that,” Trump said. When asked to explain his ability in the past to survive, Trump said it’s because “I’m change.”

Mike Pence doesn't have a political career to save. He's incredibly unpopular in his home state, so hitching his wagon to the Trump train was his last chance at remaining relevant. After November 8, you'll never hear his name again.

De Niro is and has always been a devout Democratic party supporter. He does a lot of face time with cameras for them so it's no surprise he went off about trump this morning.
I want to believe he blasted trump coming from some basic human emotion, but I cannot help but think this is just another democratic propaganda publicity stunt done by a party celeb.
As for Trump, if this doesn't derail the trump train, nothing will. Which is really very frightening. I've sworn for a while now that Trum only ran on a bet. Or a favor to the Clintons. I figured he's been trying to throw this election since he won the nomination. But no, this is not a conspiracy, this is real and mother of god is this terrible. How?
