Well I must admit that Damon Huard is actually doing a pretty decent job filling in at QB for the Chiefs. In years past I don't know how that team would have done without the starter to direct the offence to 30 plus point performances. But this year they can play some defence, and Huard does have some talent to play the position. If the Chiefs can pull off the win this week in Pittsburgh they give themselves a shot at a an AFC playoff birth. Very important game for the Chiefs as Denver and San Diego have gimme's this week and they don't want to fall 2 games back.

Huard went 5-1 as a starter back in the day when he was a Dolphin when Marino got injured.
He also led the Dolphins to an amazing comeback victory in Indy, during his short tenure there.
He's an excellent player to have as a backup qb.

Jared Allen and Tambi Hali are monsters. Look for numbers 69 and 91 to be tatooed on Rothlisberger this Sunday.

Wow, what a rollercoaster game in St. Louis!
And at halftime Fox was calling it "The only game of the day that wasn't close". That sure changed in the 2nd half.
A few very tight games today.

Fantastic win by my Seahawks.
Great comebak in the second half...no matter the bogus holding call on Mack Strong's TD...Jackson catches one in triple coverage next play for a TD.
Baldinger, the Ram err I mean Fox color commentator, could'nt sympathize enough with Bulger for finally throwing an interception. But with the game on he line, he choked and threw the INT at the worst time.
Nothing like the St. Louis fans rushing out in droves.
Stupid play by Morris to fumble when in FG and game over range.
Then we have Baldinger and the Fox show....showing Torry Holt's (nice, but almost dropped when he initially had it) catch. Every spare second until the rest of the game, they show the replay of catch...meanwhile the Seahawks drive 50 yards with no timeouts quietly.
Can't believe the shot of the St. L coach getting in the ear of the ref, then the ref throwing the flag. Sadly for Baldinger and St. L fans, it wasn't a 10 second run off, and Brown kicks the long game winning FG.
Fantastic stuff...Baldinger was speechless and/or sobbing, and the St. L fans can leave to go watch the Cardinals lose tonight too.

I don't think the call was that biased (I'm a 49ers fan, and unfortunately there was no way they both could lose).
The Holt catch was amazing - Boulware should have tried to knock it down instead of going for the pick, but that is a hindsight thing. There were a few questionable calls - the 2nd pass intereferance call against St Louis was BS - it should have been offensive PI, but an exciting game overall.
Lions get a nice win.
Cincinatti loses (and attempt a 62 yard FG with 4 seconds left?)
Dallas kicks the Texans after letting them hang around for the first half.
The Eagles look like they can take anyone, then lose to NO (who are MUCH better this year, but c'mon, the Eagles should have handled them)
Tennesse beat the Skins - I never saw that one coming.
Giants beat Atl - if the Falcons want respect, they can't let Eli beat them like that. I thought their Defense was supposed to be good?
And watching now, Big Ben throws his FIRST TD pass of the season. KC is in trouble.
EDIT - KC is getting embarrassed. They get the ball - 3 plays and out. Pitt gets the ball - TD
28-0 right now half way through the 2nd quarter.

Soooo
Larry Johnson tackles Polomolu by the hair (after an INT) and gets an Unsportsmanlike penalty for tackling by the hair.
Personally, I think that is BS. If that is th case you will see guys growing their hair just to prevent being tackled. You want long hair - fine. If it gets yanked during a tackle, that's the choice you've made.
(Note: if the penalty was for pulling Polomolu up after the tackle, then the call is justified)
SD is dismantling my Niners. At least the 49 Offense is showing it can score against a good D.
EDIT: the penalty is now being reported as Taunting, so my rant is moot.

Baldinger....wow, that guy is unprofessional. I don't like watching Fox covered games unless it's Joe Buck and Troy Aikman in the booth. CBS just does a much better job in all aspects. Luckily, my team is in the AFC.
That said, Holt was amazing today. I hate the Rams, but you can't minimalize the play he made on his third TD.
As for Polamalu, the fact he got up and ran to the sideline instead of getting in Johnson's face tells you all you need to know about his view on being tackled by the hair.
Still, Johnson saved a TD even if it was known to be a penalty (which I don't think it is) so it was a good play on his part regardless.
Can't wait for the Broncos/Faders game tonight!

Tomlinson is a monster. 4 TDs today! (thank god I have him on 2 of my 3 FF teams)

The Chargers have played the opposite of Martyball the last two games.
Very dangerous team, but it is only a matter of time til they revert to Martyball. He always does.

Baldinger is the worst out there. By the time he spat out the last compliment to Holt, Brown was lining up the kick, all but marginalizing Holts play anyways.
Not far behind is Bill Maas and Phil Simms. Pat Hayden too, but he's doing Nowhere St. vs Neverheard of St. on regional college football now. Add Glenn Suitor in there to, CFL wise. There are a few others, but those 3 guys I cringe at every time I am forced to listen to them.
They all suffer from verbal diarrhea after EVERY SINGLE PLAY like some other colors guys do, but all take it step further, making general comments on some aspect of the game, and then patting themselves at the back every time anything close to the point they made comes. Or, suck up uncontrollably to certain players or take sides.
By far, Aikman is the best. Not far behind is Darryl Johnson.

I thought so on the first one too, but they showed the replay and he didn't touch the defender at all.

For all the penalties Oakland is taking, the Broncos sure are letting them hang around. No way this game should be a 10 point game in the 4th quarter.
And Moss is making more of an impact than I can remember lately.
Showcasing him for a trade and discovering what he can do?

Yeah, it is ****ing me off a bit.
The Broncos offense just can't get it together yet this season.
They'd better not let Oakland in the end zone. Then I'll really be ****ed.

I just bet my roomate 10$ Oakland would go 0-16. He gave 10-1 odds.
If any team can do it, this Oakland team can. Unless Art Shell gets fired. The offense is absolutely awful.
