Can I just say what a relief (pun intended) to see Lariano warming in the bullpen.

Just nice to have a guy you can trust who can go a few innings if need be. And a lefty to boot.

Really not sure why Biagini couldn't finish that inning. Very disappointing decision, and just brutal pitching. Oof.

Hopefully Grilli gets this one.

Biagini should not have come out.

Hopefully Grilli is on today.

This would be a great time for Benoit goddammit it

Happ was struggling all day. Just because he got lucky and all those hits were singles doesn't mean that luck was going to hold.

Yeah, he was, but I think you have to give a bit more rope given the score and the state of our bullpen. Gibbons did the exact opposite of what he has done all season there.

Thank goodness. Gibbons almost out-managed himself there.

That woman behind homeplate can pray all she wants. Grilli is gonna sit Lucroy down.

This sucky bullpen got us through the Wildcard game by not allowing a hit for 5 innings to Baltimore.

What's that, 11 stranded runners? What a brutal game by Texas.

Can I also suggest we cut Gibbons some slack?

He put his neck on the line with the Stroman over the stats start in the WC.

Estrada to start was a great call when most were calling for Happ or Sanchez.

Now he's getting some relievers into the game to get some playoff pressure experience with a nice lead.

You might not agree with every decision he makes. But so far it's working and it'd be nice to see the fan base not second guess his every move.

Yeah the bullpen is better than it gets credit for, even with Benoit out.

Cecil should not pitch again though. He's terrible now. Thank goodness he's a free agent now.

About time someone did this against the Jays. That was happening to the Jays every other game in September it felt like.

Onto the bottom of the 8th. Be nice to see the bullpen lock it down from here on out.
