He's looked better each game, and his competition has looked pretty pathetic. He'll get his 9 games for sure, but I can see if management is apprehensive of pulling an Oilers move and rushing the kid

Gulutzan on Matthew Tkachuk will practice Saturday and Sunday. Won't commit to game 1 in Edm. Says he has put himself in good place. #Flames
Seems vastly different than confirming that he will be on the roster

Unless he means 13 forwards of the guys who are in camp, plus the one sitting in New Jersey to make 14.

He said to start the season so I assume he included Gaudreau / assumes he'll be there but yeah that might be it.
