The other thing about the travel is that Gross was in NY and Johnny supposedly in NJ (close to Philly). So two out of the three were in the NY area. Gross and Treliving can be at the table, and when they get close enough to need JG he can be there pretty quickly.

This can only mean that it's a ground breaking deal. Instead of one eight-year contract, it will be eight one-year contracts so the Flames can trade Johnny four times and always get him back the next year; pay a high AAV, and only have to absorb it half of the time.

Just sign something already!
