Default 2016/2017 NHL Bold Predictions!

We did one for the Flames, but not for the league overall.

The Jets will fire Cheveldayoff half way through the season and Teemu Selanne will replace him.

McDavid finishes the year with 60 points and the media is baffled.

Toronto pushes for a playoff spot, but ultimately falls short.

Someone becomes the first openly gay NHL player.

Therrien is not fired and signs a contract extension despite another mediocre season for the Habs.

Detroit misses the playoffs and their streak ends.

Buffalo makes the playoffs after trading Evander Kane.

Gaudreau wins the Art Ross.

Ovechkin only scores 29 goals ending his streak of 30 goal seasons. The Caps win the cup however.

Dvorak wins the ROY.
Subban wins the Norris as playing beside Josi makes him look good.

Johnny and Monny have a tougher time scoring after receiving a combined 14m/yr over 8 years. Jyrki, Ferland and Vey have impressive seasons. Bennett our best player. Backlund stays healthy and has his best season. One of Kulak/Kylington have a decent 1st season after being called up. Chad Johnson steals the crease for a month or two. Serious injury problems on defense (AHL kids on call ups). Tkachuk scores 15+. Brouwer pots 30. We are out of the race by the deadline and blow it up so we can pay Elliott, Bennett and Oshie.

FYP. Now it is a bold prediction.

Subban winning the Norris is a pretty safe bet. He is already a 2 time finalist winning one of them. Unless of course the writers from Montreal leave him off the ballet.
