Here's a small detail that kind of matters: even if there were a trade, Gaudreau has no say on where he would be traded to.
Also, this is a pretty standard trick from an agent: make the 'not asking for a trade at this time' comment, then get a reporter to 'leak' a story to get people nervous.

totally agree.

I wonder if Lewis Gross is aware Johnny isn't even a full blown RFA and is unfamiliar with his clients rights? Wouldn't surprise me at this point.

Whatever the case, seems like we're definitely at the point where the relationship seems less than stellar. Hate to see our franchise player start a long term deal with a sour taste in his mouth.

So Lewis hasn't had a call in a month? Is he unable to dial a phone?

You say "our" like you're a Flames fan, yet you immediately take the side of Gaudreau's agent whose known to be a bit of a clown. Something doesn't add up.

Literally nothing has been said from either camp that would indicate there is a strained relationship.

Odds are probably over 50% that he signs here very soon, though its in the realm of possibilities that something else happens.

You know exactly why taco.vidal has this view, and it has nothing to do with hockey.

Ugh, my only gripe with you is your stout belief that Gaudreau is the Flames' "Franchise Player".
Same with face of the franchise and so on and so on.
This is a team sport. But if anyone is the face of the franchise it's Sean Monahan, he's everywhere doing everything in front of the cameras for the Flames. Who was on stage at the draft? Yeah thats right, Monahan and the Captain. Not Gaudreau.
EDIT: I feel it is pretty evident who the Flames organization want as the "face of the franchise"

I put him/her on ignore for a while but everyone keeps quoting them so they show up anyway. And in regards to the comment from Gaudreavertime about signing a long term contract with a sour taste in his mouth, if he has a sour taste he won't sign a long term contract. Pick a side already.

Don't you guys see? By making dramatic posts on this forum in a desire to get people to worry, Gaudreauvertime thinks that Treliving will rush out to sign him to whatever him and his moron agent is asking for.

Pffft... in the very unlikely scenario that Johnny wants a trade, the haul would be astronomical.
I am a big JG fan, but a bigger Flames fan.
