Maybe the Flames didn't contact him because Gaudreau didn't want to be a part of negotiations while he was in the World Cup?
Not sure why they haven't talked since it was over though.

Gross is claiming there's been no contact at all since Sept 09th. Conny is on record as stating they've been talking along the whole time.
Someone is telling Porkie Pies. I don't believe it's Conny either.

No. He was making $925K the year before.
$925K < $6.375M

No, look at what his comparables signed for. Zero discount.

A pay cut? He's making more than Mackinnon, Barkov, or anyone else similar.

I remember when flames management chose to let cammy walk for free instead of receiving a 2nd or a 3rd (rumoured offers) in order to show the rest of the league that they will stick to their price and will not deviate from it.
I imagine they are willing to let Johnny sit for however long it takes in order to pay what they think is reasonable especially when they have all the leverage.

paycut in the sense of signing for less than what his comparables are making.

I know what you meant, I was just yanking your chain for calling it a paycut.
But also because he actually got more than his two primary comparables (MacKinnon and Barkov).

I am now fully of the belief that Lewis Gross is a terrible, terrible agent.

What comparables are you talking about? Name a centre RFA with similar numbers who signed for more.

100%. As I mentioned earlier, Gross's statement re: Not talking is in direct conflict with Conny saying talks HAVE been progressing. I choose to believe Conroy as he's never lied to the fans or media. Hell, the way he does an interview I don't think he's capable of duplicity.
