I'm penciling in Hathaway and Higgins as we speak. I wouldn't be shocked to see Bollig in the AHL to start the year.

One thing I've observed about Gulutzan is that he's good at re-gaining momentum after a bad period. Both in Winnipeg and today, the second periods were not very good but the thirds were much better (if... boring)

I saw the Calgary defencemen pull back a few times while on the PP when the Canucks looked like they gained possession and a few Flames might be caught.
Seems like being defensively responsible is important to Gulutzan even while on the PP.

Token we have the best broadcast duo comment. Ball and Hrudy are easily the best pair calling hockey games today. They should've been doing the WCH over Simpson and Hughson. Love that Canuck fans have to suffer through Garrett (other guy seemed okay) and Oiler fans have to listen to the garbage that is Remenda and Quinn.

Some Stajan thoughts:
The good and the ugly.
The good:
Caught the game midway through the 3rd. Saw Stajan make a really good defensive play to tie up Zalewski and prevent him from scoring.
The ugly:
A Power play happened and Staj killed that PP twice with horrible passes.

What are your guys opinion on Tkachuk? There are times when I think he'll be an NHLer this year, but other times when I think another year in Juniors will do wonders for him.
