I heard him referred to as Chaser for a nickname, so I assume the pronunciation would be something similar - but then I am terribad at names.

So the real villian here is cultural sensitivity in the media. Steve was always Chase-on on TV.
There is a bit of irony here too. If you are old enough to have seen Steve play, you are also old enough to have gone to school when francais was mandatory and, hence, pronouncing the name should not be an issue.

That's how the announcer in Ottawa always pronounced it. So, that's probably how it's supposed to be pronounced.
The biggest problem tonight is that Shorthouse hasn't said it the same way twice, and overexaggerates the pronunciation while he's at it.
