Cutler came into the Bears organization the same way Brent Sutter came into the Flames, far too late to try and piece together a bunch of overaged, overpriveleged players only to fail miserably. Im still a Cutler fan and hope he catches on somewhere, it just isnt Chicago any longer.
Cutler himself has never been anything more than a mediocre QB though...thats why i have never understood the fanaticism with him that so many have had.

He is below .500 as a starter, he has turned the ball over more times than he has thrown TD's, he has been sacked nearly 300 times, his attitude and commitment have been questioned his whole career and the list goes on and on.

He has a great arm and has had a couple nice runs...but he simply isnt a winner and never has been. If he was expected to fix overaged/overpriveleged as you suggest, he was just more of the same.

I would agree hisbis a mediocre QB, with all the tools and a weak toolbox. However also keep in kind that while your Packers have had your Brett Favres and Aaron Rodgers, the bears have had Jim McMahon and... Jay Cutler.... he literally holds almost all the franchise QB records, so any hype he has gotten is because the team has never had anyone else.... we started Henry Burris one game for christ sakes.

His INTs are almost always poor decision making, but id probably chalk about half his saxks up to having an abysmal Oline, which is a legit excuae ( 10 sacks against vs the Giants, and for 3 seasons led the leagues in hits, pressures and sacks). The guy needs to play in a system that works for him... veey good running system and a top end Oline, one if wjich the Bears have never had, and this year they lost Forte as well.

Haha oh Gruden loves Payton too, he's actually been at Saints TC a few different years as Payton's invite. I really love Gruden, but I get how detractors get annoyed at his slobbering. Everybody's great

Any other Falcons fans in the house haha? Offense looks good this year but D is still a dumpster fire. On pace for 8 sacks lol. This is probably going to be a Ryan - Brees shootout tonight. The Panthers look mortal this year though so the division could actually be in play for either of these teams even though they're both mediocre.

Former Dallas defensive end Greg Hardy, who remains unsigned after a tumultuous 2015 season revolving around his domestic violence case in North Carolina, has been arrested on a cocaine possession charge in Texas.

Jail spokesman Tim Weed in the Dallas suburb of Richardson said Hardy was arrested early Monday and booked on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was released on $5,000 bond Monday afternoon. Police had stopped him on a traffic violation
Is there any other scenario for this guy than either dead or in prison for life within the next couple years?

He is a human dumpster fire.

Well I guess I called it! Fun game but I don't think I've ever been that frustrated when my team won. If you score 45 points you shouldn't be letting the other team hang around until that late in the game.

Huge blow for the Texans....

Quote:
"It doesn't look good," a Texans source said.

The news was first reported by NFL.com.

Watt will be eligible to return to practice after six weeks on IR and to game action after eight weeks, meaning he could be back Nov. 27 against the San Diego Chargers. However, sources told ESPN's Ed Werder that Watt "probably" is done for the season and that the Texans felt he was never right after offseason surgery.

Maybe, but he should be suspended 4 games for that awful Madden 17 commercial. Yikes!

That Watt injury is going to be very significant. This could spell a 8-8 Division champ in the AFC South. This will bring them back to the pack quite a bit.

He. Could. Go. All. The Way.....back to rehab.

Quote:
“After careful thought and deep consideration I’ve decided that I need to step away from pursuing my return to the Browns and my football career to enter an in-patient rehabilitation facility,” Gordon said in a statement. “This is the right decision for me and one that I hope will enable me to gain full control of my life and continue on a path to reach my full potential as a person. I appreciate the support of the NFL, NFLPA, the Browns, my teammates, my agent and the community through this extremely challenging process.”

Seriously... 1-9 on third downs. The O-line is awful. The receivers are awful. Tannehill is mediocre at worst, though.
