I didn't say McKenzie was a bad source. My point was he wouldn't have to hack anybody to know if emails are being sent. He'd just ask, like he always does. Hence my comment "how does he know anything?" He asks.

I'm heading out shortly to fill up on gas. Does anyone know of any stations offering $1.13/L or more? My brother tells me that's what it costs in Cranbrook, so I want to make sure I'm paying Market Value.
Thanks

If teams like the Flames start folding their cards for top RFA's it's going to weaken their foundation as they have several top 10 picks that will also require raises and the idea was that teams were to be able to take advantage of the RFA years to balance salaries of veteran players in their prime. If all these RFA's demand UFA money then the RFA period simply turns into early UFA payday with the asterisk of the player not being able to choose his team.

I agree to a point...Flames should dig in their heels. But having him sit out an entire season doesn't really get them anywhere, and it will be a constant source of disruption for the year. The other and imo better option--if Johnny's being unreasonable and won't sign--is...a trade.

Could have future earnings insurance for the time period between now and signing. He must think it wont go on long.

Johnny should just report to camp to learn the systems and sit up with Smid.

I scanned that and read it as "suit up as Smid". Which is actually a better idea.

I don't believe this for a second that they haven't been in contact. That's not how BT rolls. My guess like most the bonus part of the deal.

Had an idea!
|
I find all the speculation pretty funny.
Flames will have given their number, and Johnny side has their number, and both sides are probably taking time to decide.
Which translates into "OMG THEY AREN'T TALKING!!!"

Do you not agree that he was the team's MVP during the playoff run? Or that he was the MVP of his world cup team? Most people agree with both.

Sweet!!! You can read minds!!!! Is this a skill someone is born with or can it be taught? If it can be taught please send me a PM so we can arrange a time for a few lessons.

Well training camp is well underway and he is not signed. They had over 4 months to get a deal done. I think the speculation and overreacting are very natural. Haters are going to pour gasoline on the fire as well (look at the HF thread)

The only good thing coming from this is that when he does sign, the thread will likely be full of fantastic GIFs.

Yeah I meant the thread that eventually announces it will be more fun than it would have been if it was done midway through last season or something. The longer we wait, the more explosive the reaction.
