Has the WWE fallen that hard? I haven't followed in years, but they used to be automatic sellouts at NHL arenas back in the day.

That's not terrible - they consider De Winton, Okotoks and Chestermere as "South Calgary"

I've had chestemere as the north.. as a south guy stuck in the north dig I'm thankful they put games there. That being said I've played there as a south div guy too, think it is the mid point arena wise for them

Just got an email from the Vegas team advertising the Kings preseason games in Vegas. The name on the email says "Knights hockey" so I would say Hawks are out.

Anyone going to be in Vegas by chance for these two preseason Kings games next week (October 7/8)?
I'm covering these two exhibition contests (Stars/Kings, Avs/Kings) for work, so really looking forward to seeing the brand-new arena for hockey and the atmosphere of the rink for NHL competition, albeit preseason.

I think Silver Knights and shortened down to Knights is my preference. Silver suggests riches and has a bit of the casino slot flavour to it.

I'm not a big fan of two-word team names unless one of the words is a colour, therefore I am going with silver or golden as my choice. "Desert Knights" just sounds too minor-league to me.

Well, in fairness 'Silver Knights' sounds like a team that should be playing football in 'Any Given Sunday' but Desert Knights just sets up the Dessert Knight jokes.

Agreed. I don't see why it needs an adjective. What if every team did that, it would be ridiculous. The Calgary Burning Flames. The Colorado Mountain Avalanche. The Florida Swamp Panthers. The Winnipeg Fast Jets.
