I disagree with him just as much as the next guy, but insulting him is not any better than if he were to be trolling. Act like adults for Christ sakes'.

Gaudreauvertime you must love this forum. It doesn't have the functionality to downvote your silly posts into oblivion like reddit does.

It does however have the ignore button.

This thread is hilarious. Honestly I can't stop refreshing and clicking it even though I can't stand it. It's starting to become a little silly on both sides as well.

An articling student's path is meant to be hard with much humiliation and suffering.

I agree with Calgary4Life's post and would add the fact that BT doesn't want to set a bad precedent with this contract, regardless of what Johnny is actually worth right now.

They all get a piece of the blame.

Quantifiable, you say?

What did I say in my post that could be interpreted as trolling or being a shill? Is it not true that Monahan's production has been highly dependent on his time with Johnny? And that Johnny has been able to produce independently?

It's not to say Monahan is bad. I just don't see him as the 60-65 point guy we've seen if he's not paired with Gaudreau. Probably closer to 50-55.

I guess that's trolling?

Like I said earlier, possession stats etc are far more consistent. But I didn't write the article. Less variability allows for a smaller sample size.

All but 80 of Monahan's 938 minutes without Gaudreau took place in his rookie season.

NARRATIVE. Wilson is the worst.

1st at home, 310th on the road. That's pretty worth noting don't you think?

To showcase that clearly:
5v5 Home
1st - Gaudreau
13th - Monahan

5v5 Away
142th - Monahan
310th - Gaudreau

Based on the actual stats, Gaudreau had a SIGNIFICANTLY worse drop-off on the road than Monahan 5v5.

Most top scoring guys remained in the top 20 for both, with Jamie Benn as the other notable drop-off who was 72nd in 5v5 scoring on the road.

EDIT: My point being, everyone does worse on the road than at home. Gaudreau wasn't even close a top 10 forward on the road. 300 players were closer.
Bennett had a far better stats line on the road than at home
