No surprises on anything there... Maybe Pollock but not really.

So what junior-eligible players are still around? Andersson, Parsons, Tkachuk? Is that all?

Pollock didn't last as long as I'd like.

Figured Tuulola and Dube would've stuck around longer.

Why is MacDonald going to the AHL? Isn't he still in major junior?

They sent him to Stockton so he may yet earn one.

Not surprised but disappointed Pollock didn't stick around longer. Didn't see much from him, however.

He's 20, so he can play pro this season. He'll likely start the year in Adirondack and only see time in Stockton if there's any injury. He could go back to junior as an overager, but that's unlikely.

He was sent to Stockton, so he's still in the hunt for a contract. I'd think he's more likely to sign an AHL deal, rather than tying up an NHL contract.

So did Falkovsky get signed while I wasn't looking? Or can players without a contract play in the AHL? Or are they just sending him to Stockton's training camp?

They haven't announced a contract, so likely accepted a tryout for Stockton.

Considering that Ottawa doesn't want him back, not sure they can or want to assign him back to major junior until his rights have been moved.

Thought Tuulola earned a longer look. Really liked what I see from him. Could see him being a "steal" one day.

I thought a whole lot more would be cut. I thought Gulutzan said he wanted to be down to 2 teams by the weekend.....unless there are another 10 or so cuts coming down in the next 48hrs.

Actually, they are only one goalie and a couple of defensemen in excess of two teams, provided each team has two goalies and seven defensemen. Of course, that will change when Monahan, Backlund, etc make their way back on the ice.

Well, he wasn't going to make the team. Since he's going to an entirely new team in a new country it's probably best to get him to training camp there as quickly as possible so he can adjust. We don't need to see him up here anymore.
