Mason played well in his absence though.

Damn, Managed to outshoot the Blues 35-25 but couldnt muster much on two sharp goalies. Marco Sturm continues to be the best player and has now scored in every game so far. Dunham has been crap so we will switch to Hedberg for the next game. The starting position is now his to lose. Detroit is very sad to see two Blues players go down like that. We will be sending flowers and will also sit down and have a nice chat with Ivan Majesky on how to control his stick better. Detroit with just one win in 4 games are playing like crap.

Blues 4
Wings 2

The second time these teams have met this season in 4 games, and the Blues once again outlasted the Detroit Red Wings. The Blues got goals from Kobasew, Crosby, Ovechkin and Ouellet as they are now 4-0 to start the season. Chris Mason was solid in net replacing Hasek after 2 periods.

(Hasek being helped off the ice, he's day to day)

Hasek was strong in net, but a collision sent him down for a while, and what seems to be an undisclosed leg injury, he's day to day and will get the night off tomorrow. Eric Lindros was hit with a vicious high stick by Ivan Majesky which cut him. Lindros had to leave the game, and is also day to day. Look for the Blues to seek disciplinary action on this foul play.

Ouch, talk about double whammy, oh man, well that's why i acquired Mason.......time to try and fight through this.
