Agreed with the overrated comments, but that said he's still a really solid young defenseman. RNH for Trouba would make sense for both sides if you ask me. I could see him in Edmonton at the end of the day.

I could also see him ending up in Colorado. Not sure what they would have to give up for him though.

I think the Jets are the Flames' biggest obstacle for the next 5 years. They have so much size, skill, and youth. Hopefully this weakens their D permanently.

Flames don't need Trouba, but could you imagine:

Giordano - Hamilton
Brodie - Trouba

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Among the many teams interested in Trouba, ARI has been and will likely continue to be a serious suitor. But it'll be a long list.

Coyotes definitely have the prospects to make it happen, but do the Jets need more prospects?

I'm not sure about Winnipeg actually. The one up and coming team in the NHL that could pose a problem for Calgary going forward and that gets absolutely no respect is the Arizona Coyotes.

They're going to be good.

Based on their performance at the Young Stars tournament...yup.

Pity we don't have the cap space. This is a perfect opportunity to lowball them with Kulak

Jim Matheson suggesting that the Oilers would have to trade Nurse for Trouba, but won't do it.

The oilers can't take on another d-man without exposing themselves to losing nurse or klefbom in the expansion draft.

I actually saw this coming and am hardly surprised.

Chevy will get a good return, of that I have no doubt.

Knowing Chevy, it will be prospects and picks that might help in four years.

Good sense hasn't ever stopped them before making jughead moves.
