The only thing that worries me in that scenario is the Sox will probably bring up a couple of young starters who will pitch the lights out on pure adrenaline.

Nice to see the small ball in play tonight. Can't always rely on the HR's to win the game.

The small ball did nothing for the Jays tonight really and it definitely had nothing to do with the win. I think it kind of hindered them a bit when Davis sacrifice bunted with how hot he's been at the plate. Definitely not a fan of small ball and not swinging for home runs doesn't mean they were playing small ball.

I did like how they seemed to just want to hit the ball cleanly and not always going for the big swing.

I like small ball at the right times, but when Travis is your best hitter in terms of .avg and he's bunting? I'm not so sure. If it's the #9 guy in the same scenario I'd be all in. In that case, not a big fan.

I dunno. Maybe its just anecdotal of late but whenever the Jays play some small ball it seems to lead to big things...and all that matters right now is wins. If it helps them focus i dont care if they make JD or EE bunt. Just get some runs in.

Once the catcher has the ball, he is allowed to block the plate.

It makes sense to play like that when we are trying to score 1 run and 1 run only.

I can't recall the exact percentages, but going from runners on 1st and 2nd and zero out, to runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out, your odds of scoring only increase about 6% in total.

Factor in you have your best hitter at the plate, early in a 2-0 game, and it makes absolutely zero sense to bunt.

If it's the 9th inning and you are down a run, ok, a case can MAYBE be made. But with Travis batting, I'd still be skeptical. Goins/Thole batting, id be more inclined to bunt.

It's just a big inning killer. Whenever I watch other teams bunt against the Jays, I am always thankful they are so willing to hand us a free out.

Good 1st inning from the Stro show.

Let's get the bats going right away. Give the guy some run support for once.

KC just rallied with 2 outs and down by 2 to tie the Tigers in the 9th.
