Yes!

Hopefully we wear them full time in the playoffs as well.

The third jersey should be the Atlanta Flames A.

I'd get a kick out of a troll-Atlanta game with Calgary vs Winnipeg both wearing their old jerseys.

The Retro will probably never be the home cause then no one would buy the thirds and they won't be able to sell the extra retro's.

This doesn't make any sense.

Especially with the league going retro everywhere. Edmonton, Vancouver, Islanders, Sabres, Flyers ... Hawks, Wings, Habs, Rangers refusing to change.

The Flames have a 1972 staple and they don't use it enough. They're classic!
I think some of the higher ups currently with the Flames just have bad taste with unis. Remember when they originally retired Vernon's jersey in the current black C design, in a style he never even wore? Later on once they finally fixed it, Ken King admitted his fingerprints were all over the original decision to do it in the black C.

I wonder how much sway he has on the final decision on uniform designs. Dude just seems to really like his black in unis. I really like the guy, but he and those in charge of that stuff have horrible sports fashion taste. Should leave it to the experts with that stuff.

I would see Ken wandering the Saddledome all the time when I worked in the warehouse a few years back - his horrible fashion choices are not limited to sportswear.

I actually find the clothes (hats, sweaters etc) available for the Flames in general to be really old fashioned. And not good old fashioned, but 90's old fashioned.

Well only another 3-4 years until that crap is back in fashion, stay the course Flames! Can't wait to have my Flames hat with string as a tightener again.

I'd be happier about this if my retro didn't have Baertschi on it.

It's not hard to understand.

Your home jersey will always sell no matter what. Why would they take their most liked jersey and turn that into their home when they could sell both the home jersey and the retro?

Like how hard is it for Flames Office people to just creep CP and Guage what fans want?

This is welcome news, but annoying it took so long.

Dropping the black from the third jerseys is a step in the right direction. But I don't have much faith in the next set of home and away uniforms will be without substantial use of black. The Flames just love it for some reason.

Even with the Flames owning the Stampeders, they've actually added more black to those uniforms. Including a separate black helmet for the away set. It just looks ridiculous. You'd think that they'd try and avoid branding to be red and black now that there's a team that is so red and black that they've named themselves after it. (Still a stupid name though, IMO, but better in French)

I'm fine with black as a little bit of trim or as a special third jersey, but the 1990s fad of adding black to everything has long since passed. I'd love to see a completely redesigned set of home and away uniforms using the Flames' original colours - red, yellow, and white.
