Byfuglien a scratch again? Tortorella is such an awful coach.

Is there a reason that Phil Kessel is not on this team? Is he hurt? Also, Byfuglien not playing again... ^^ Tortorella is a moron.

I doubt Tortorella is a bigger moron than McLellan though.

I disagree. Without hesitation I would say that Tortorella is the worst coach in the NHL... really wish Edmonton would've picked him up.

Having one or two players to hate on seems to be the way Tortorella operates.

Playing Jack Johnson over Dustin Byfuglien... Never mind the US national team, Columbus should fire him for that...

Wait, false alarm guys. Looks like Palmieri and Byfuglien are back in for the United States in favour of Johnson and Dubinsky.

Oooh....thats a dead heat. I'd love to find out though. I guess we can determine that at the end of this season.

I call it: 'The Toilet Bowl"

Also known as: The Season Series between Columbus and Edmonton.

Thats a shame, thats actually a wise decision.

In the end though, I think the USA is boned. The absolute worst thing that could happen is:

The USA go into a Tournament and publicly paint a Bull's-Eye on Canada's back. Then the USA stumble out of the gates and balance the team's entire tournament on a game against Canada.

I think they're going to get slaughtered. If I'm Team Canada'a Coach I tell my players to stick to the game plan...but...if for some reason you find your foot on their throat?? Stomp. Hard.

The American line up looks OK to be quite honest, but they are severely lacking in top flight centres. Kesler is a #2 at best these days.

If Canada doesn't take them lightly, I think it'll be a cakewalk.

Yeah, if only more talented scoring C's were born there. Like that one guy in Tampa; what's his name? Tyler something?

Joe Pavelski is a top-flight centre.

I dunno.... Torty at least seems to want to win games. McLellan just seems to care about playing the golden kids.

A "Ca-na-da" pregame chant attempt? C'mon, T.O. It's "Go Canada Go" or shut it.

Fans can't chant more than one thing?

Not if the other option is lame. It sounded awkward and low energy, and quickly petered out. Not to mention the obvious rip off of a "U-S-A" chant makes it extra lame.
