Can't believe I missed the end of this one. Came home late and saw 7-6, between that low score and the fact it was Jets/Bills, I just decided "pass". Then I see today it ends up 37-31, that's the most un-Jets/Billsy score ever! Trading TD's in the final minutes too, geez. I blew it

yeah i dont get drawing the defense offside, just plow forward
or take the delay of game and punt. (which i don't like but makes more sense then what they did)

There are almost no coaches exempt from poor clock and game management. We even saw it from Belichick last week, but he got bailed out by the missed kick. We see it almost every week, a game lost because of poor game and clock management by coaches. I just can't believe they all don't have a dedicated person for this.

Let's not forget wasting a challenge in the first quarter on a 2nd down play that netted 6 yards. Sure it was incomplete and overturned but the Jets were left with two downs to get 10 yards and they did get the first down on their third down play rendering the challenge wasted. What NFL coach does that? You never waste a challenge on a <10 yard gain unless it's a 3rd down play where overturning the play leads to a punt. He's just not head coach material.

Yeah exactly. In the first half, fine whatever, but second half you should be holding on to your timeouts as if they were winning lotto tickets.

My friend and I were talking about this last night. So many NFL teams need a probabilities and analytics guy standing beside their head coach during crucial moments.

I stopped watching this game after I watched the Bills neuter a drive with two consecutive holding calls when it was 13-7. I was way angrier than someone should while on a treadmill.
Why do I like the Bills still?

I think this might piss me off the most, challenges that don't consider the value of the challenge and a timeout. 6 yards is never worth a challenge unless it's a TD, or a 4th down.

Bills fire Greg Roman because Rob Ryan sucks as a DC, but obviously he wasn't getting fired and someone had to take a fall here.

Went to Hawks / Cowboys and Stars / Sharks last year on Halloween weekend. Couple things about the hockey game. Reunion Arena is a great venue for hockey. The lighting is amazing there. You see how good it is on television and it's that much better in person. Second, the building has wide open concourses and food beverage service is amazing for selection and speed. The game day experience is so much better in a modern arena and the entertainment value is that much better. Those that say the Saddledome is good enough should attend a game at a place like Reunion. A great example is this:
[IMG] [/IMG]
700ml of ice cold goodness that comes from a kiddie pool full of ice for $9. Don't know why Canadian venues can't do this.
Third, ice girls:

The football experience at ATT is a little surreal actually given the sheer size of the building. It is MASSIVE!. Jerry's world is really a marvel to behold. It's incredibly huge and glitzy.
[IMG] [/IMG]
The scoreboard runs from 20 yard line to 20 yard line and is about 60 feet high. The definition it displays is better than your TV. It also tends to overwhelm the viewing experience as you actually end up watching a lot of the game on what amounts to a massive television.
We stayed at a hotel across the highway from ATT that ran a shuttle trolley kind of thing so getting in was easy, they get you fairly close and the walk onto ATT was not bad at all. Getting out was quite a bit longer given the traffic.
The game experience in Dallas is quite a bit different than in places like Green Bay and Seattle and even Arizona to a degree. The best way to describe it would be that it's more a corporate crowd. All around us were kids and young adults that spent the entire game texting and didn't even watch the game. The family next to us disappeared at half time and never returned. The Dallas crowd doesn't make much noise and even critical third downs might bring a quarter of them to their feet - too wealthy to stand and cheer I guess. Seahawks fans were out in force and they were often louder and more engaged than the natives.
There was fight in the second tier end zone that had about a dozen cops and security involved in at one point. Cheap thrills. The Cheerleaders dance to Thunderstruck pre-game and that is.... impressive.
This was the game that Ricardo Lockette got messed up with a career ending injury and that took a lot out of the crowd actually. We were in the lower bowl about the 5 yard line.
[IMG] [/IMG]
Surprisingly the food selection wasn't that great and idiotically expensive (like a beef brisket sandwich for $24 or something similar). Oh, and the Cowboys lost, so it was all good.
Edit: Trying to fix the photos.

I don't believe Rob's actually the DC in name as he's assistant head coach. However you could clearly see him last night on the sidelines coaching up the defense on numerous occasions and that porous defense has his fingerprints all over it.
No doubt that Roman is being scapegoated though. Not that it really matters as after 14 more games the entire staff will likely be joining him on the unemployment line.

The new GameDay show is really good. Woodson, Hasselback, Moss and Dilfer have good discussions. Berman is still Berman. But in this role, he's like Ron MacLean. Not the same without him.

I really will never understand the dislike for Chris Berman.
IMO he is the best in the business at what he does.....hosting.
He is out of his element as a pbp guy anymore, but beyond that he is superb at generating discussion as well as interjecting humour and opinion when its called for. He is really good at both baseball and golf, but is the king when it comes to the NFL.
There is a reason ESPN pays him over 3 million a year, he is the best.

Wheaton inactive again ... so Ben/Brown/Williams will have to do all the damage vs the Bungles today. Thankfully Shazier is active.

So far i am very unimpressed with Fleener. He's not a good enough blocker to justify keeping him out there if he's just gonna let crucial 3rd down passes bounce off his hands. Good route runner but he sucks in traffic, not a good quality in a TE, that's kinda supposed to be their thing.

Not sure I agree with Antonio Brown returning punts. That's asking for an injury.

Pats already up 14-0. It's Bill's league and everyone else are trespassers.
