Hopefully a kick in the pants for the Cards, super sloppy game. Can't play like that if you are a super bowl contender.

God damn Patriots! Missing half their team and still win against a Superbowl contender, unbelievable.
Happy with the Eagles first hame. A lot to like from Wentz and Pederson.

Uhhh what? Griffin was hot garbage. I've generally been an RG3 apologist even though I've hated Washington. Today he was atrocious and made me question all of that. There was no point at which I feared the Eagles losing that game. If anything the score flattered the Browns after the garbage PI call against Jenkins gifted them a TD.
Also what the hell was Hue Jackson smoking? A 3rd and 9 QB sweep, 4th and 5 wildcat in his own zone, and icing the kicker with 30 seconds left in the second half? Hue may very well be Norv Turner 2.0.

Uhhh what? Where did I say Griffin played well? He had one nice run, but his reported long arm accuracy was nowhere in evidence.
The Browns did have some momentum but it was all downhill after the safety.

Yeah I wasn't sober when I posted that. Totally missed your point but I still don't think it was the bad snap that killed the Browns' momentum. Other than one drive that offense looked fairly impotent. Wentz also had a couple of bad reads that could have blown the game wide open if he'd seen the field a bit better.
On another note, after having sat in the most Philly of Philly sections for the game, I still think Canuck fans and Rider fans are way worse.

Pats fan I work with is convinced they'll get a first round pick for Garofolo. Oh week one, how you provide the hottest of takes.

Normally I'd have the Rams moving out of LA within 7 years, especially with choosing Goff over Wentz already looking like a big whiff and Kroenke being a terrible owner only concerned about money, but the new stadium and current NFL financial system make that unlikely. I do think the Rams will be just as irrelevant in LA as they were in St. Louis though.

If Sam Bradford is worth a 1 and a 4, Garoppolo could easily be worth a 1st and another conditional 1st by the end of week 4. Teams like the Browns still exist to make such stupid decisions after all.

Sam Bradford got a first round pick from Minnesota (and he stinks) so if Garoppolo keeps it up, a first rounder is not unrealistic. I think the more interesting decision will be after the 2017 season. Brady will be turning 41 for 2018 and Garoppolo is a free agent, would the Pats consider resigning Garoppolo and trading Brady?

Oh the poor Browns just doing Browns things. RG3 done for the next 9 weeks, can come back in week 10 I believe. Broken coracoid bone in his shoulder. Broke it on a a play where he should have slide and didn't.

RG3 is on the injury reserve now with some sort of serious shoulder injury. I think his career is done regardless of whether or not he recovers from this injury. He will be cut and won't be picked up by any team in the future.

I wouldn't put anything past Bellichick. But Brady might be his one exception. I think he's more likely to trade Garoppolo for an inflated return (see Matt Cassel) and get the next guy in place to take over when Brady finally has had enough. At least with Garoppolo he is starting with a guy who was a higher pick...so yeah a first could happen. Plus with all the brain drain out of New England, likely someone from their organization is working for a QB desperate team in the near future.
Over the years he has proven that he can build and offensive and defensive system that he can plug parts into and have them produce really good results. But his real differentiator over the years has been Brady in the offence. With Brady, he always get's exceptional results out of his offence verses the replacement part. Whereas he's been able to replace every other part and still manage to keep on operating at an elite level.
Last night though, it was impressive to see them go on the road and do what they did. Bruce Arians is a good coach...but ol Hoodie has lapped the rest of the coaching field numerous times. It looked like if there was ever a week where the Patriots wouldn't be leading the Division...this could have been it. Instead, Miami can't get it done, Jets lose a heart breaker, Buffalo didn't show up...and New England goes on the road without key pieces in a top ranked opponents building and walk out with a win. What a machine.

Has anyone ever fallen off a cliff harder than RGIII? At least he's got a great logo though

That's what happens when your first career game is against the Saints defence. It tends to make your potential look a lot brighter than it actually is..
I feel for the guy, was really hoping he could turn his career around. Now it's looking like he's about to become a lot more familiar with Saskatchewan next year

Griffin underwent an MRI on the shoulder Monday and it confirmed the break. In his postgame press conference, his phone went off and he apologized. "It's my mother,'' he said. "She's very worried about me.''
McCown, who went 1-7 last season, played well last season before succumbing to a broken collarbone and being placed on injured reserve for the final five games.
