I aready said players salaries and supply and demand were the reason for high ticket prices. look at an inflation chart. 10 dollars back in 89 equals 20 dollars in 2016.

I like PL as it is not as busy with the bathrooms and concession upstairs . Very good crowd in the PL level.

Before the 2004 run, the NHL always seemed to scheduled the Wild to visit on a Wednesday, and TSN would inexplicably broadcast those games nationally. I always got 300 level tickets (F calling it "PL") because it was a virtual guarantee that an usher would come by with free upgrades to the lower bowl as a "customer appreciation gesture" designed to make the 10,000 people there seem like a larger crowd.

We went to about 5 games last year and upgraded once for a weekday Buffalo game.

It depends which seats you get. the sight lines can get obstructed by railings and the camera if you're not careful when purchasing. The PL does have a way better washroom-to-fan ratio than most other seats though. It can be a nice feature when you've held on through overtime.

I got season tickets up there. Love it but im in a higher row so the railings dont really bug me. Love having the washroom and a concession up there. I can go to the washroom during a faceoff and not miss anything.
Value wise its great. You get all of the atmosphere and fun of the game and the view is fine.
But I heard sitting behind the camera is a nightmare.

I'll never forget the brawl in the 300s after a Leafs game about 08-09(?) . About 50 guys involved. Cops couldn't get there as the crowd was leaving and blocking their route to the hooligans.

If it's the atmosphere you wanna be a part of, PL isn't bad. If you're gonna do it get tickets at Boston Pizza, they're usually around the same price and you get a beer and a personal pizza at BPs plus a bus ride to and from (cheaper cab ride home).

It's different for everyone. I got season tickets up there last year and renewed again this year. I used to buy game packs but I love the flexibility of having tickets to every game and being there for all the premier games. Its interesting to see the atmosphere change from game to game depending on opponent or what night it is.
I split season tickets in Row 2 near centre ice for a couple of years. They are surprisingly good seats for the money. I think season tickets there are under or around $1200 bucks which is pretty impressive. If you compare these seats to higher 2nd bowl corner or end seats I don't know why you would even bother with the second bowl, especially factoring in the price differential. Obviously its just my opinion but I find the sight lines to be far superior.

Press level tickets arent bad value.
But the hike up the stairs can be a struggle if you are bringing some old, overweight or out of shape to the game. It also sucks if you want to get down to the concourse during intermission. To get down and backup doesnt leave you much time. There are concession at press level but if you want to walk around the concourse, meetup with someone, or hit the Fan Attic, then you dont have much time at all.

I literally purchased seats in the first row AND behind the camera. Kinda regretting it now.

It normally says right on the tickets "Obstructed View", including when you order. I'd suggest calling Flames customer service -- perhaps they've moved those cameras or somehow made them less intrusive?

When did they stop being called the nosebleeds and become "Press Level"? That is some good lipsticking of a pig.
My first ever game was New Years 1992 in the third last row. I remember having to line up at ticketmaster at 8am to get tickets. I also remember in 2002 when the nosebleeds were closed and you could get $20 200 level tickets on student night. Oh and who can forget the non-assigned seating in the Sport Check zone where you would give all your coats to one unlucky friend who would attempt to save a row of seats.
I had some good times up there but to be honest it is all about the atmosphere and the view is horrible. I preferred buying seats in the corners of the 200 level. Not too expensive and being able to actually see the players is more than worth the price increase.

I'll take seats near the center and above the 8th row in PL (or first 3 rows) over the higher corner seats any day. At least in my seats I can clearly see the entire play develop. Not a fan of corners or back.

I hate PL, way too high. I'd rather watch on TV, for the most part, and definitely wouldn't buy seasons up there.

It says "partially obstructed" view so I mean I'm sure it's not entirely a problem. Normally I wouldn't care but when ticketmaster charges you $75 a ticket you would expect to be getting a decent seat with a good view of the ice.

Sure you can, just rig your urinal to leak on your bathroom floor and kick a couple beers over under your couch.

And get your significant other to stand up in front of you while the play is going on.

Lower bowl or bust (I got once or twice a year, so I splurge) But I always figured it was more of a party atmosphere the higher you go

There's no difference in atmosphere for the first two bowls.
