Maybe.. But giving up quality chances can also contribute to the problem.
Regardless, pretty weird time to start chirping about the D, no?

How is that possible? Finland had 24 shots in the first game and outshot Sweden.

Karlsson, OEL, Hedman, Hjalmarsson, Stralman, Kronwall and Ekholm.
Nobody in the tournament has a defense better than that.

None of: Hjalmarsson, Stralman, Kronwall and Ekholm
would be in the conversation for the Canadian blueline.

Burns = Karlsson, Burns might be better defensively
Weber > OEL, Weber is still a beast
Doughty > Hedman
Hjalrmarsson = Vlasic, both under-rated defence first guys
Muzzin, Pietrangelo, Stralman, Ekholm are about the same level
Kronwall and Boumeester are guys who've lose a step but got token invites.
Canada is still the best D.

I agree.
But since they didn't, it seems foolish of anyone to argue Sweden doesn't have the best defense in the tournament.
Countries that have Jack Johnson, Jokipakka, Nakladal, Zaitsev, and Jay Bouwmeester can't claim superiority over that group.

Based on how Canada picks this team, Kronwall and Hjalmarsson have made it.

Yep even with the bum Bouwmeester there id take him over those guys. I'd think hard about Hjalmarsson though.
Kronwall and Stralman wouldn't make Team Canada if we had 3 Canadian teams.

Stralman is really really good, and he plays with Hedman.
At the very least he gets Bouwmeester's spot.

Naw he's good. Not a chance he deserves the two "really's" in front.
If Stralman would take Bouwmeester's spot then there is about 12 other Canadian d-men that would take Stralman's spot. Hint: 3 are on the Calgary Flames and they're all better than Stralman.

So Weber doesn't even count? Not sure how you can say Karlsson is better then Burns. Both are offensive, Burns is definitely better defensively and plays a physical game as well.

Hjalmarsson =/= Vlassic
And leaving out Weber is funny - though it makes sense, since Sweden has no one like him.
Stralman is not - ever - in the conversation for TC (if he were Canadian). Ever.
