i don't know if it's 'adjusting' but just give the other team different looks. Even faking a bunt or foul a ball off the other way will trick the defense into moving a couple of steps over.

It would be like if Gaudreau was double teamed all the time but kept trying to deke them out. It would be weird to argue that "Johnny made it to the NHL deking so he should just continue". At some point he has to pass.

It was a good strike, borderline but good. Martins 3 straight fastballs to strike him out was ugly, and then tulo follows it up with another ugly at bat.

Last year they would have made the Sox pay in that situation. This year instead it's two pathetic back to back strike outs.

He didn't strike out on that pitch. And umps often give pitches at 3-0.

He struck out swinging full on every pitch, including 2 strikes. Sorry to keep flogging this, but that was a perfect example of what I have been talking about.

Yeah challenges are a joke. I love getting the call right, but you should have 10 seconds to decide.

The review should also be 60 seconds max, then call stands. How can it be conclusive if it takes 10 minutes to decide

I do understand the sentiment behind it, but it really sucks to see the negativity while we have a 3-0 lead.
