MVP not looking like an MVP at the plate today. He needs his mojo back.

You have to believe that Donaldson will stop striking out, EE will stop hitting into double plays, Upton will start catching balls, Bautista will hit a home run, and our pitchers will start doing something. Because this is unwatchable.

Donaldson and EE are 0 for 6 with an inning-ending DP.
The rest of the team is 6 for 15 with a BB and 2 RBIs
Tough to win without your top players contributing.

I would like to see Navarro pushed down the order, but in all honesty it won't make a lick of difference.

He needs his hand to get healthy but is the type of guy that won't take days off. Seems clear to me that he isn't right.

Well we're gonna find out what they're made of now. Gotta dig deep to find something the rest of the series.

I really want to believe they can turn it around but they've been trending down for a good month now. Can't shake the feeling that they just peaked too early.

I don't think they peaked too early because I don't think they ever peaked.
To me, it looks like they've quit on their manager.

I would hope they haven't quit on their manager with a playoff spot. If they have they should probably fire Gibbons now and try to salvage the season.

It's too late for that now - and who's available to hire?
He has to be canned in the off-season though (even though that's too late for most of this roster)

leading the division, in a playoff spot and one of the best records in baseball and a team is going to quit on their manager?
Find that very hard to believe myself, and I'm no Gibby fan either.

Luckily it's just one game. Happ on the bump tomorrow morning against Rodriguez who is not a good pitcher. Need to win the series and we are tied for first. Simple.

Man how are people blaming Gibby? Quitting on him? Geez.
Based on what?
Main factors are
- their rotation hasnt been as good particularly Happ and Estrada. The latter clearly isn't right
- the mvp is also struggling with a hand issue
- Bautista had struggled for much of the year. His legs don't look right still
That is a lot of their most important players not delivering in part for what I believe are health reasons
Regardless how is any of this on Gibby. Blaming the manager is just too easy

Why exactly does he have to be canned?

The rotation has been poor (or at least no where near as good) ever since the 6 starter fiasco.

Estrada was struggling before that
