1-0 Finland after a sweet giveaway from Erik Karlsson right onto Barkov's stick.

Now tied at 1 after Loui Eriksson banks it off Rinne at the side of the neat.

Damn you Wideman, Nakladal deserves his spot.

I been banging the Nakladal drum for a while. I love what he brings.

And people scoffed at me when I elected to protect Jokipakka. I'd rather protect him and lose Brouwer/Frolik.

It was Hagelin who is pretty hard to hit normally.

Sweden's socks are horrible. The yellow is too low.

Finland's whole kit is pretty cool.

Frolik hits the goal post on a hard wrist shot.

As long as he doesn't do something real stupid, I think Nakladal should have a NHL contract after this tourney.

Sobotka has left the game with clavicle injury. Maybe even fracture. He is in hospital now. RUS-CZ. #WCH2016

2 things:

1. I totally forgot Frolik was playing in this tournament. Add him to the list of guys I hope don't get hurt.
2. Did they send the broadcasters overseas for these games? If not then I guess this is what Sportsnet is planning on doing for the NHL regular season and keeping guys in a studio to broadcast away games. Seems fine.

BONUS THING!

Maybe I'm just starved for hockey, but everything I've seen so far today has been great.

Is there a way we could just pull all Flames players out of this tournament?

These exhibition games are being played in Finland & the Czech Republic. The North American team plays in Quebec tonight.

Pretty sure every game being played today is in Europe.

No worries. I didn't make it very clear either.

Gaudreau plays tonight? Will it be televised? I don't see it anywhere.
