Fell asleep during the third set, but saw the clips this morning of Del Potro getting emotional after the crowd got loud for him down 2-5 in the fourth set. Great to see, and it's great to have him back. He's owed a nice 3 year run of perfect health after everything he's been through.

I won't be able to watch it, but I heard TSN1 is airing Felix Auger Aliassime's round 3 match today (should be on at noon eastern time).

Felix a double quarter-finalist, both singles and doubles now. Still hard to believe he's been 16 for a month. He's mostly playing guys who are 17 going on 18.

That's the first time I've seen him play live, I was really impressed. Big strong kid. Looks like he has a really bright future.

Bianca Andreescu won her match in 3 sets, so she's off to the girls QFs as well. So things might have started poorly for Canada this US Open, but still a chance for a few trophies on the back end.
Edit: I wasn't following the match, just saw a recap. She was a down a set and a double break at 2-5 and came back. What a win!

This girl is so chill. Not intimidated by Serena at all. Impressive power on her ground strokes too.

Her match might be over, but the all night broadcast of The Serena Williams Variety Show continues. I don't think they've said a word about Kerber or Woz without mentioning Serena as well.

And it seems underhanded and passive aggressive. "Kerber is now the new number one, but Serena....yada yada yada."

And yes, we know her knee isn't 100%.
This should be a drinking game. Sweet mercy.

I just caught the very end of that match. No challenge and it was out??
Two strange endings tonight.
