Has he scored a goal for Montreal yet?

Well Finally!!! Bout time.
Guy was basically done since the 2010-11 season came about. He really just didn't have much left in his tank at that point. That said, he was a very good player until he crept up upon the age of 31, and 2 Stanley Cups, 181 goals and 756 points in 1079 NHL games is, let's say, 'better than most'.

It's still kind of weird how he broke down so early. He was never a great skater or strong player, so it's hard to blame physical deterioration due to age (and 31 isn't that old).
I think it was a case of being creative and having decent vision, but not being able to find chemistry easily. He was one of those types that was only as good as the players he was on a line with and he eventually lost hs top line status to players that could skate better.

Even though he played, or tried to, for the past few years, he was already retired.

Gomez in his prime was a 25 goal scorer. Maybe this is finally the wake up call he needs to show up every game. He's deadly when he tries hard.

He needs to try harder at being young again. Pretty simple solution.

You missed the joke. It was a play on the guy who said the same thing about Bourque.

He was actually pretty decent with the Devils in 2014.

Hockey has always been my closest relationship. I think that’s the case for most of the guys who dedicate their life to this game. So as a result, a lot of us had different names for what we called her. They were all over the map. For Steve Valiquette she was Mother Hockey. For Adam Burish, Baby Doll. Knuckles Nilan called her his Safe Place. For P.K. Subban she was My Ticket Out Of The Ghetto. Raffi Torres called her My Girl. Rick Lanz would say She Was My Nightmare, She Was My Heaven. And to Mike Mottau, she was My Frozen Lady Friend.
