Well that was a depressing end to that inning.

Damn, theAplineOricale's whipping boy is having a hell of a game. All star catch to save a run or more, now a solid single to score two with the bases loaded.
Tie game. Bautista comes up with a weak out to kill the momentum. Hopefully we can get one more run.

Nice to see the bats come alive. Russell Martin has been clutch. I can't believe we have to play this stupid team three more times.

I think Bautista is going to make the biggest mistake of his life if he doesn't sign quickly. Whoever takes him IMO will have damaged goods in a year never mind 5 years. He should get that guaranteed money before it's too late.

Can you imagine the uproar now if the Jays had capitulated to his early demands?

Yeah, not signing him looks like a brilliant move right now. His arm is dead so unless he's on fire at the plate he won't be worth a heck of a lot. What a drop off he has had. Just hope his bat catches fire down the stretch.

They were speculating today on the radio broadcast, that his arm hasn't been the same since he injured his shoulder with that "out of frustration" throw last season. I can't recall the specific play - but if true. DUMB.

The most I'd be comfortable with is 4 years $80 million. Anything more and he can walk. That's still a risky contract.

It was a throw that had zero chance of getting the batter out but he was frustrated for some reason after he hit a home run and talked some smack to the first baseman and got some in return.
The next inning he tried to throw someone out at first which really had no chance but he was trying to send a message. That's when his shoulder problems started.

As much as Bautista has done for the org there is no way he is worth 20M a season now. Let someone else pay that and go after a younger UFA with upside...not an aging player with downside.
Cant have feelings dictate his salary. I'd sign Edwin and find a replacement bat for JBats.
