Problem for the Vikes is everyone knows they're desperate. So I agree McCown would be decent for them, but Browns will probably be demanding at least a 2nd round pick now and that's just way too much. Guess we'll see how badly the Vikes wanna win this season. New stadium probably drives them to do something desperate.

Tebow needs a second chance. He's been focusing on baseball but I'd love to see him take a few more snaps.

I think we'd all rather see Manziel instead, if only for the trainwreck factor.

Plenty of QB's available via trade or UFA. Josh McCown could probably be had in a trade and Mark Sanchez will be released soon. The underlying issue is that neither of those guys are good enough to take a team to the playoffs. I thought the Vikings were going to take a step back this season regardless but if Teddy is out a long time I think you can stick a fork in their playoff chances. Packers are going to have easy sailing into the division title even if Detroit improves.

The Vikings have a top 5 defense. They're not just going to wait for next year. Expect a significant move and it won't be a desperate move, it will be one that they need to make.

No way this team was taking a step back this year with Teddy. Might not have won the division again, but they would have been a much superior team to the one that did win their division last year.

BTW....this isn't just a run of the mill injury. It sounds like it is extremely serious and could jeopardize his career.

Geno Smith, Mike Glennon, Josh McCown, etc. The market is not completely dry.

Complete ACL tear with structural damage. Expected to make a full recovery. Good news.

Yeah that is better news than what was being speculated.

It's still close to a full year of rehab etc, but sounds like he can get back to 100% and play some more. He's a division rival but he is a ton of fun to watch.

There's a handful of crappy backups to choose from. Dallas and Minny just went from playoff contenders to drafting in the top 10. Brutal for their fans.

Bridgewater dislocated his knee, tore his ACL and suffered other structural damage, according to the team, and faces a "significant" recovery period to regain full health.

According to ESPN injury analyst Stephania Bell, injuries similar to Bridgewater's often require nine to 12 months of healing. Assuming Bridgewater has no setbacks, that time frame pushes his return right up against the start of the 2017 season.
He may, in fact, not be OK for next season. That's a real shame.

Has anything come out explaining what happened? I know there is always a few walkthrough injuries every year but this one sounds horrid. From what ive hear ld the visual of it had players vomitting.

Had the trainers not acted as quickly as they did, there was a real possibiity they would have had to amputate above the knee.

Absolutely horrifying and truly feel sorry for the guy.

Given the severity of the injury, I think the Vikings have to consider Bridgewater basically done. Short term pain for long term gain, but if I were them I would tank hard to get DeShaun Watson next year. No offense to Teddy, but his ceiling is elite game manager. Watson obviously projects to be much more.

The only thing Kaepernick is bringing awareness to is that he's an idiot. Sure there are bad apples but the majority of officers put their lives on the line daily to protect citizens. This level of disrespect is simply in poor taste.

Even with Shaun Hill as QB they will likely win 5 games which will likely put them around 5/6 in the draft.
