Default Kuznetsov goes Wild

To Washington

Max Domi
Alex Wennberg
Nick sorenson

To Minny

Evgeny Kuznetsov
5.2 M cheese

----> Domi can play Wing for me. There was no point playing Kuznetsov on line 3 at C. Hoping wennberg and Domi continue their upward tragectory after solid rookie years.

Oh man I like that deal for you Hes. Not that getting Kuznetzov is a bad deal but I like both forwards that Washington gets in this deal.

Great trade.

I see what both teams are trying to do here. Grant loses Seguin earlier today but then goes out and gets another C.

You gotta give to get but at the end of the day, even after losing Seguin the Wild got immediately better overall.

Hesla gets a return he needs when trading a guy like Kuznetsov. I think it works both ways.

Long-term I see Wennberg being an OK 2nd liner or a very good 3rd liner. I see Domi being a good 2nd liner.
I see Kuz being a good 1st liner.
Ultimatley that's what this is about for me - upgrading the high end part of my team through these two deals today, while not having to do so via aging vets.

In:
Kuz
OEL
Granlund

Oout:
Seguin
Domi
Wennberg
Daley
2nd
Sorensen

So basically comes down to a quantity for quality play to bring in 2 elite young pieces (OEL and Kuz) while only giving up 1 (Seguin).

I'm fairly confident in what Domi will end up being. I do worry that I'm wrong about Wennberg. His assist totals went way up when Johansen moved last season and he was put on the first line - and he has real good chemistry with Saad. So I feel he is the guy that could take the leap next season. But I also feel like Granlund could do the same.

Fun day of trading.

I really like this for Hes. Not a massive downgrade and still gets a couple outstanding young players.
